Talisman Gift of $100,000 to Help Build New Fire Hall in Chauvin
Talisman Energy has donated $100,000 to the Chauvin Volunteer Fire Department and the money will be used to help build a new fire hall in the village.

The presentation was made on Wednesday, June 23 in the Chauvin Community Hall during Talisman Energy’s Chauvin operations annual community appreciation barbecue held for the public.

Manager of Talisman Energy in Chauvin, Dan Allen and Talisman’s vice-president conventional operations, Joe Morin of the company’s Calgary office turned the money over to local fire chief Gary Zunti during a short break at the noon hour event.

Allen said that they look for ways to support the community and requested help for the fire hall project.

32 Students Graduate From Provost Public School
Provost Public School held its graduation ceremonies for the class of 2010 on June 26 at the Provost Recreation and Culture Centre.

The class of 32 students took the stage as MCs Chad Downing and Christina Hager introduced the graduates and their parents.

O Canada was led by Callie Larson and Karrah Swanson and accompanied by Jason Carter.
