From the early days of hand set type through to the operation of the Linotype to early work in offset printing in the 1960s, The Provost News continues to produce high quality commercial printing for a variety of customers. We’ve been producing ink on paper for custom work since 1910 so have a long history and knowledge of the craft.

Our staff are dedicated to detail and providing customer satisfaction whether it’s a black and white business card or a book with colour photos throughout.

We are proud to be affiliated with our sister plant, Holmes Printing in Medicine Hat who has again won international awards. The latest awards were judged in Reno, Nevada in late 2005 and Holmes Printing—up against firms from as far away as Hong Kong and around the globe took home a Silver award for a colour book and a bronze award for a magazine printed for Eagles Nest Ranch in southern Alberta. These International Gallery of Superb Printing Awards are added to two previous wins for Holmes Printing. The Holmes Printing plant meanwhile has just installed computer to plate (CTP) technology and is also using stochastic (frequency modulated) halftones for high quality halftones. The 12 on staff create thousands of jobs annually from business cards to high quality hard cover books and most anything in between.
