RCMP Continue to Familiarize Themselves with Local Industries

The Provost RCMP are familiarizing themselves with the oil and gas industry this year— “another major contributor to the Provost and area economy,” Sgt. Cam Russell told The News. Last year, Provost Detachment members could “ride along” with area farmers to enhance their knowledge of farming. This photo of cattle around a tank stating ‘sweet prod water’ on it was taken south east of Bodo in August of 2022. Sweet water is natural water from a gas or oil well that doesn’t contain hydrogen sulfide which is a colourless, flammable, highly toxic gas. The Provost RCMP responded to 1,302 calls in 2022.
