Brad Dallyn who along with wife Linda raise cattle south of Ribstone, Alberta had two more youngsters to look after recently. Here, a day-old animal springs into action; meanwhile in another photo (see The Provost News dated March 15, 2023), a different calf—just hours old, eyes the camera. The animals didn’t need any extra heat to keep them warm during mild weather conditions. Calving season generally takes place from March to the end of April.
