Here’s a look at part of just one side of Altario School’s hydroponics unit which integrates into the students’ curriculum. Principal Kevin Van Lagen (pictured) says he thinks students have “a better understanding of where their food comes from” and it presents more opportunities to them in agriculture that are not always traditional.
