Heavenly Sight

Earth’s nearest neighbour at an estimated 358,000 kilometres away appears to loom large as the Moon is shown rising in the east at 7:18 p.m. while windows at Skyline Lutheran Church are lit up by the ambient light from the Sun that disappeared 17 minutes earlier. Usually stargazers see a single full Moon 12 times per year but this month on October 31 a rare second one called a Blue Moon will appear. Records show that in 1926 it was decided to move the Lutheran Church in Provost seven miles into the country using horses.
