The Village of Amisk, Alberta is located near the western part of M.D. No. 52 and has a population of approximately 172 people. The community is home to World Champion steer wrestler, Blaine Pederson (see sign above). Students attend classes from Grades K-3 at a modern school, bottom left—while photo right shows a building where meetings can be held like the grazing association. In the winter the arena provides hours of entertainment for skaters and hockey players. Amisk is governed by a local village council and has one of the oldest libraries in Alberta. ©Provost News Photos.
