Chipping In

After giving cash to Provost Communities in Bloom for gardening supplies including two totes of fresh, aromatic mulch weighing in at 300-plus pounds each, Provost Kinsmen members (pictured at back) chip in even more with manual labour at the Provost long-term care on Friday night, May 16. Later that evening they helped plant flowers. Meanwhile, for Communities in Bloom, Anne Fraser (front, partially shown at right) works one of the flower-beds and splits perennials. “Doing this work is a no-brainer,” Kinsmen club president Dylan Chopek told The News. It’s “something good for the nursing home.” He said this is the first time the club did this project and anticipated they’d be there for a couple hours. Pictured back from left: Chopek, Zach Oatway tipping the wheelbarrow, Cody Fredericks and Rylan Fanning holding the rakes. Also helping was Jeremy Muise. The Town of Provost also helped out earlier in the day. See other photo in The Provost News dated May 21, 2025. ©Provost News Photo.
