Plenty of Green to Go Around

Several town crew and a volunteer in a team effort lay 8,600 feet of sod at the new splash park just east of the Provost swimming pool. Brandie Rehman (on the ground) moves a section into place while other workers make more trips to get more rolls off the pallets. The work began at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, May 16 and lasted until about mid-morning. Rec director Jack McKinlay who was helping out nearby told The News that the splash park has been tested out; and plans are to operate from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Water’s to flow for five minutes each time someone pushes a button nearby. ©Provost News Photo.
