Rosenheim School to be Moved, Restored
|
A site is being prepped for the Rosenheim School to be moved and restored, just north east of the historic St. Norbert Church (partially shown behind trees). A company from Meadow Lake, Sask. installed screw piles on Wednesday, July 24. Next, beams are to be put on and leveled. An advantage of this type of foundation is that installation is quick, since there’s no forming (like for concrete) says Rosenheim Historical Society president Jim Schon. “They were screwed in over about five hours” and only hit one rock, he adds.
