|
Dylyn Mohr (standing, centre) spots a bidder during a live auction at the Provost fireman’s ball on Saturday night, February 25 at the Provost Recreation and Culture Centre. Jesse Lawes can also be seen at back (wearing hat) watching for more bids. Fire Chief Barry Johnstone told The News via phone that the event drawing about 450 people into the room was “absolutely excellent.” He says “I just can’t believe it, it’s amazing—the people. You try and do this anywhere else in the world and in the country . . . this is one of the best places in Canada to live. It’s phenomenal.” Dollar figures were in process of being tallied up which is to go toward the Provost Victims Assistance Fund.
