Cash Needed for Handi-van Operation, Possible Replacement
|
Passenger Joe Klein climbs aboard the handi-van with help from driver Connie Leschinski in front of the Provost Health Centre. The service is “Very good,” Klein told The News. “Boy, I should have used it sooner. I was out walking (one day) and I froze my ears. I said ‘It’s time to use the handi-van.’” The van service needs more cash for its operations—it’s also looking at replacing its vehicle which could have a price tag of over $100,000.
