Scott Blume, top left looks toward his brother Matthew and father David (right) who are standing near a large truck which feeds a long conveyer belt to quickly transport a choice of grain or fertilizer up to the cart that is connected by hoses to the air drills at right. This operation takes place during a stop to replenish supplies at the family farm 17 miles northeast of Provost as wheat was going into the ground on May 4. David Blume says that in their area, north of Highway 13 the moisture has been good for planting cereals though more water for canola planting would be useful.
