Railcar Loading Speed to
Double After Expansion
|
An upgrade to be made at Richardson Pioneer, Provost will see the speed of railcar loading double from 30,000 bushels of grain per hour to 60,000, reducing loading time for 112 railcars from 14 -16 hours down to about 8 hours. Manager Darrell Huber told The News that it will make for increased operational efficiencies by “adding a second shipping bucket elevator and changing out the bulk weigher for a larger, fast model. An old bulk weigher will make way for a new larger one and another bucket elevator will be added to feed the bulk weigher, says Huber. Work began May 11 and is expected to be complete in July. ©Provost News Photo.
