Enjoying the Water
|
Three girls run into the water at Capt. Ayre Lake on a warm afternoon, Friday, June 5. Four more people can be spotted at back among a row of boats lined up on the shore. Others were spotted on the water taking in a paddleboat ride, kayaking; and paddleboarding—just some of the action on the first weekend the lake opened to the public. The M.D. of Provost No. 52 earlier had plans to open Capt. Ayre Lake and Shorncliffe Lake later on in response to the ongoing public health directives concerning COVID-19, however access was allowed June 1 with certain guidelines set in place about camping. ©Provost News Photo.
