Piling Up

A whistle was blown soon after the piling up of at least nine football players while a Vegreville Cougars player (bottom, middle) refuses to give up the ball to Provost Panthers. The Panthers won this tier two league semifinal match 68-34 in Provost on October 25. One of the coaches for the Panthers, Keith Heintz told The News that the team played well. “We had been building for this all year.” He adds that “This is the best team we’ve ever had, win-loss record wise . . . our bantam program (Provost Pythons) has really helped us” with players joining the Panthers already having football experience. ©Provost News Photo.
