Beside Fleeing Horse Lake
|
A guard rail has been installed on the east side of Highway 899 just south of Provost beside Fleeing Horse Lake. The metal and wood construction is 0.4 kilometres long. Provost, according to Early Furrows history book was first called Lakeview because of its close proximity and view of Fleeing Horse Lake (which is close to three miles long). The new name of Provost was given by the CPR land department in the fall of 1907. ©Provost News Photo.
