Celestial Light Display
|
Provost resident Gord Campbell captured this unusual view of nature’s sky with his camera on March 16, 2015 at 11:53 p.m. as the Earth encountered a massive solar storm which created the spectacular aurora seen usually in far north countries. Particles in solar winds are pulled into the atmosphere by a magnetic force to create the changing phenomenon of the aurora borealis or “northern lights.” This picture shows Schopfer Farms elevator in Chauvin to the left.
