It appears that Town of Provost staff visited beside this residence and left some sand behind to help prevent people from slipping on the nearby sidewalk. The property, located at 5124 - 51 Street has a home-made sign by the pail full of sand that reads: “If you think it’s slippery grab a hand full but leave $5.00 the Town says this is not free.” There was a box taped to the sign where passersby could deposit cash if they felt inclined. ©Provost News Photo.
