PPS a Leader as Buffalo Trail Schools Raise Over $45,000 for Fox Foundation
The pledges are still coming in, but schools in Buffalo Trail have raised over $45,000 in the national school Terry Fox Run.

Provost Public School was a leader, surpassing their own record from last year, raising over $10,250.

Most schools reported significant amounts raised, including Ribstone Colony School which answered teacher Marcia Degenhardt’s challenge and raised $163.50. In return, Degenhardt dyed her hair purple.

Participating schools chose either Monday, September 18, or Friday, September 29, to host their events.

Students and staff walked, ran, biked, swam and held barbeques to raise funds.
“It is very positive to have staff and students in Buffalo Trail honor a true Canadian hero by choosing to be active and raise funds for the Foundation,” said superintendent Greg Bass. “Most importantly, I believe it is a powerful and life-long lesson for our youth.”

Last year, all Buffalo Trail schools participated in the national school Terry Fox Run, raising over $77,000 for the foundation.
