One league game, and one exhibition game to report on for this past weekend for the Provost Pee Wees number two hockey club. One at home and the other in Lloydminster. And this all adds up to two wins. I was only at the league game in Lloydminster so it makes it a tad bit difficult to report on the other game against Kitscoty. Anyway, the game in Lloyd was a late game against the team we played last weekendÑLloyd A&W. We won again this time by a larger margin, 8-1. It was very, very physical during the last 15 minutes. Even our smaller players didn't back down from theirs. There was a mini brawl that broke out after McMann scored at the other team's net and three of the players from our team got penalties. Altogether our team got 20 minutes in penalties, four less than the other team; 32 out of those 44 minutes were roughing penalties. Only about five people on our team didn't get a penalty, even the players that usually get at least two a game didn't get any. I noticed that it took them over a minute to get the puck into our end at the beginning of the game. Brian Stahl didn't get a lot of shots but he kept each one of them out except one. Provost scoring: First Period- Stempfle (unassisted); McMann (unassisted); Adams (Holmes). Second Period- Ganser (Holmes); Ganser (Watchell); Klein (unassisted); Stempfle (unassisted). Third Period- (There was an error on the score sheet for the last goal so I put what I thought was correct.) McMann (Ganser, Adams). The other game in Provost against Kitscoty was not exactly a blowout as the other game was. But we still beat them by quite a few; 9-4 was the score for the Provost Pee Wees number two. As mentioned at the start of this column I said that I was not at this game so I cannot give the little tiny details. But I can tell you who got the ÒBig BootÓ, the shots and the Provost scoring. First of all McMann got the ÒBig BootÓ but had enough time to score twice and get an assist. The shots on Stahl were 19 (not that many) while on the other hand we showered their goalie with pucks; our total was 49. Provost scoring: McMann (Klein); Ringrose (McMann); McMann (Klein, Ganser); Adams (unassisted); Stempfle (Landmark); Klein (Ganser); Klein (Watchell); Adams (Landmark); Stempfle (Rehman). We are scheduled to play in a tournament in Paradise Valley tonight and on the weekend. We also have a league game in town here this weekend.
