There was no yelling when Sig Angeltvedt quietly and with determination was adjusting “Old Yeller” at the pilot’s hangar on late Sunday afternoon. The 76 year old Provost pilot who has been flying the Cessna 170 over the last 30 years recently lent it out to his two sons who experienced some unusual activity while in the air near Chauvinso now Angeltvedt has a bit of what he termed “winter maintenance” to attend to. ©Provost News Photo.

PPS Volleyball Team Win Silver and Advances to Provincial Finals
The Provost Public School’s senior girls volleyball team are on their way to provincial finals in Westlock this week.
The girls came out of round robin play this past weekend in Bashaw in first place winning games against Chauvin and Bashaw. They came up against St. Thomas Aquinas in the semifinals and with a win, guaranteed themselves a spot at provincial finals.
The final was a rematch between Provost Public and the hometown of Bashaw with Bashaw coming out strong, winning the final.
STA wound up with a bronze medal at the Bashaw zone volleyball playoffs.
Competing were teams from Bentley, PPS, STA, Bashaw, Chauvin and New Norway.
Provincial finals takes place in Westlock, November 24 to 26.
