PPS Principal Heading to Chauvin School
as 12 Other Principals Asked to Move in Mass Transfers
Principal of Provost Public School, Bob Hawriliuk says that he and 12 other school principals are being transferred effective the start of the new fall term.

Hawriliuk told The News that he is being transferred to Chauvin’s Dr. Folkins School while Dave Brecht, now principal of Edgerton Public School will head Provost Public School.

There are 19 principals working for Buffalo Trail Public Schools.

There are mixed reactions from the announcement says Hawriliuk who adds that the board and superintendent agreed that there would be a “development opportunity” for the principals to go to other places.

“My first choice is to stay where I am but it’s a done deal so I’m making plans” for the transfer.

The Provost teacher says that he plans to remain living in Provost and will drive to Chauvin each working day.

He is finishing up his twelfth year at Provost Public School and sixth as principal.
